| Skilled Nursing
care and services are designed for individuals who need 24-hour nursing care.
Rehabilitation services are typically a part of the skilled nursing patient’s
treatment regimen. Physical and Occupational Therapy, as well as Speech
Language Pathology, are provided through licensed therapists. Some centers
offer Respiratory Therapy for patients with severe pulmonary conditions. Care
and services are provided by a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of
professional caregivers who receive medical direction from a qualified
physician.
Fundamental skilled nursing centers pride themselves on the accessibility of
services. Fundamental accepts admissions 24 hours per day, seven days per
week. A patient, family member, or healthcare professional can start the
admission process with a phone call; patients may be admitted within hours of
calling.
Fundamental skilled nursing programs provide nursing care and services to meet
the medical and rehabilitative needs of patients, while offering family members
the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one is being treated with
the medical expertise, caring, and respect he or she deserves.
All skilled nursing patients are treated according to an individually developed
care plan tailored to meet specific needs. The skilled nursing plan of care
outlines the specific treatments and services the patient will receive and is
created based on assessments completed during the admission process. In
addition, staff monitor each skilled nursing patient’s condition and progress
throughout the stay and make adjustments to the care plan that reflect any
change in status or patient needs.
While medical attention is certainly a focus, Fundamental skilled nursing
centers also offer many home-like amenities and social events, which we’ve
found contribute positively to our patients’ emotional well-being. We believe
in providing holistic care and recognize the benefits of mental stimulation and
personal comforts in the recovery process. To that end, recreational and
therapeutic activities designed for varying skill levels are offered regularly
by the Activity Department. Beauty and barber services are available on the
premises. Family members are considered an important part of the team caring
for their loved ones and are encouraged to visit frequently. Patients and their
families may use our meeting rooms for special events such as birthdays,
anniversaries, etc…
